Roles and Responsibilities of the SGB

Most schools have now completed their School Governing Body (SGB) elections and with the new 3 year cycle may come members of the SGB, educator, administrative and parent alike, who are unaware of their rights and obligations as an SGB member.

Join us and our Education Law and policy expert, Angus Bailie, as we take you through the Code of Conduct for members of Governing Bodies of public schools.

The 45 minute presentation is followed by a 30 minute Q&A session where you and/or your SGB will be able to ask those burning questions you may have.

We can host this virtually via Zoom or at your school and this can be done in the evenings during the week as we appreciate that many of your SGB members may have employment obligations during the day.
