In 2019, the CCMA stated that, of the total cases for the 2018/2019 year, approximately 71% were related to unfair dismissals followed by 11% on unfair labour practices.
As an employer, not providing sound and relevant evidence when dealing with the CCMA, is likely to result in an unfair dismissal award in favour of the employee, regardless of the seriousness of their misconduct.
