Responsibilities:
- Forge and nurture robust relationships with a portfolio of key clients.
- Gain a deep understanding of clients’ business objectives and logistical requirements.
- Serve as a strategic partner, providing insightful recommendations to enhance their supply chain operations.
- Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies focused on revenue growth and increased profitability, including setting and achieving ambitious targets.
- Proactively identify and pursue opportunities for service expansion and cross-selling within existing client accounts.
- Lead negotiations for contracts and pricing agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of growth opportunities within your designated client portfolio.
- Manage and lead responses to requests for quotation (RFQs) and tender processes.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including operations, sales, and customer support, to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Provide clear guidance and support to operational teams to uphold exceptional service standards.
- Develop, implement, and present key performance indicators (KPIs) regularly to monitor and exceed service level agreements.
- Address and resolve client issues and concerns with efficiency and professionalism.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service offerings and client experience.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
- Gather, analyse, and communicate valuable customer, market, and competitor intelligence.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to clients based on market analysis.
- Prepare regular and insightful reports and presentations for both clients and internal stakeholders.
- Track and report on account performance and progress against established goals.
Qualifications:
- Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in a similar client-facing role within the logistics, transportation, or supply chain management industry.
