Accounts Clerk (Debtors & Creditors) – Travel Industry

As the Accounts Clerk, you’re the heartbeat of the finance operations. You keep bookings accurate, invoices correct, payments flowing, suppliers aligned, and agents happy. You’ll manage the full debtor and creditor process with meticulous attention to detail:
- Check and verify booking confirmations daily
- Ensure all client, agent, and service details are correct before invoicing
- Post invoices accurately and on time
- Follow up on payments and maintain clean age analysis (no +90 days)
- Build strong relationships with agents and suppliers
- Reconcile supplier statements and prepare payments
- Capture credit notes, refunds, and ensure VAT compliance
- Keep financial records organised and audit‑ready
- Support the finance team with projects and peak‑season tasks
- Provide bi‑weekly age analysis reporting and escalate critical issues
- Ensure correct, timely and complete checking of all booking confirmations
- Ensure that all invoices are paid as per the stipulated agent/client payment terms
Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Accounting / Bookkeeping / Finance
- 3+ Years working in a similar role within a and DMC environment
- Good knowledge of Tourplan (Must have).
- Detail‑driven and organised
- Confident communicating with agents, suppliers, and internal teams
- Able to work independently but enjoys being part of a supportive team
- Proactive about resolving queries and preventing financial risk
- Motivated by accuracy, deadlines, and clean reconciliations
- Keen to grow their finance knowledge and career
