ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
You know the drill. Payments, reconciliations, reports. But you also know there’s more to it than spreadsheets.
You understand how things move in a travel business—how clearing accounts have stories to tell, how Tourplan and Quick Trav aren’t just systems, they’re part of a rhythm. You work with precision, but you’re not robotic. You bring maturity, confidence and maybe a little Excel magic to the table.
We’re looking for someone who can keep the books balanced, the reports flowing, and the pressure in check. Someone who won’t blink when it’s time to close month-end or juggle four systems before lunch. And if you’ve danced with Sage 300, Quick Trav or Tourplan before? We should chat!
What you’ll handle:
- Journal entries and payments in Sage 300
- Reconciliations (Balance sheets, cashbooks, credit cards—you name it)
- Foreign payments
- Month-end reporting in Quick Trav
- Tourplan invoicing, reporting and voucher management
- Travel expense claims and system reports
- A dash of ad hoc wizardry when needed
What you bring:
- Matric (Tertiary accounting qualification = bonus points)
- 5 years’ accounting experience—preferably in travel or tourism
- Advanced Excel and strong MS Office skills
- Multisystem fluency (Sage 300, Quick Trav, Tourplan)
- Planning, problem-solving and people skills, all in equal measure
- The ability to multitask without losing focus
- Quiet integrity and bold attention to detail
