What You’ll Do
- Be the Guardian of Financial Integrity
- Keep daily transactions accurate and up to date
- Question costs with confidence and professional scepticism
- Prepare supplier payments and assist with payroll
- Analyse management accounts and resolve ledger queries
- Reconcile balance sheet items, clearing accounts, and inter‑lodge transactions
- Support year‑end audits and monthly reporting cycles
- Be the Anchor for Operational Teams
- Lead monthly finance meetings and share insights with the Regional Finance Manager
- Assist lodge managers and Directors with financial queries
- Help compile budgets and quarterly forecasts
Be the Protector of Assets & Controls
- Maintain strong internal controls and conduct spot checks
- Manage petty cash, mobile wallets, and lodge bank accounts
- Oversee stock sheets, stock takes, and safari shop audits
- Investigate irregularities and report control breaches immediately
Be a Teacher & Team Supporter
- Train staff on PanStrat and accounting principles
- Strengthen Front of House financial processes
- Build financial confidence across the lodge team
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- CPA or active CPA progression (advantageous)
- 2–3 years’ experience in finance or accounting
- Hospitality or lodge experience is a strong advantage
- Strong Excel skills and comfort with accounting systems (PanStrat preferred)
- Fluent in English and Swahili
- A mindset rooted in ethics, accuracy, and accountability
