We are seeking a highly experienced and strategically minded Senior Contract Manager to lead and oversee the administration of complex, large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of contract law, specifically JBCC, NEC, and FIDIC, and a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously. This role demands a meticulous professional with exceptional leadership capabilities and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of legal compliance and project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Contract Oversight: Manage the full lifecycle of complex contracts, ensuring adherence to legal frameworks (JBCC, NEC, FIDIC) and company policies.
  • Large-Scale Project Leadership: Direct and coordinate contract administration for multiple large projects, mitigating risks and ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Legal Compliance and Risk Management: Provide expert guidance on contract law, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of contract administrators, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Financial Management: Oversee contract budgets, manage variations, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Analyze contract performance data, identify trends, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Dispute Resolution: Manage and resolve contract disputes, utilizing strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Document Control and Compliance: Ensure meticulous maintenance of contract documentation and adherence to all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in contract management, with a focus on large-scale projects.
  • Extensive knowledge and practical application of JBCC, NEC, and FIDIC contract law.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles related to contract administration.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant contract management software and tools.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Law, Construction Management, or related field)
