Senior Inbound Specialist

Senior Inbound Specialist

Some roles ask you to “sell travel.” This one asks you to engineer wonder.

We’re looking for a Senior Inbound Specialist who treats itineraries like couture garments: measured, stitched, refined, and finished with the kind of detail only a seasoned hand can deliver. If you understand that a client’s sigh of delight is a KPI, and that excellence is a habit — not a headline — then you may have found your next home.

 WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO

Become the quiet architect behind unforgettable journeys for discerning travellers who expect more than “nice hotels” and “good views.”

Translate preferences into precision, chaos into choreography, and last‑minute curveballs into calm, seamless solutions.

Your days will include:

  • Deep, thoughtful consultations with high-end clients who know exactly what they want — or need you to figure it out for them.
  • Designing bespoke itineraries with luxury stays, private transfers, exclusive experiences, and dining that feels like a secret whispered.
  • Managing logistics so flawlessly that clients assume magic was involved.
  • Building supplier relationships that unlock the kind of access money alone can’t buy.
  • Communicating with clarity, warmth, and detail — because excellence lives in the nuance.
  • Handling unexpected changes with the grace of someone who’s been in the industry long enough to know that “unexpected” is part of the job.
  • Preparing documentation that reads like a promise and delivers like a guarantee.

📌 THE OPERATIONAL HEARTBEAT

You’ll own the quoting, confirming, loading, liaising, following up, reconciling, reporting, and file‑keeping that keeps a luxury itinerary from becoming a luxury disaster.

This includes:

  • 24‑hour turnaround on written requests
  • Tourplan reservations
  • Supplier confirmations
  • Payment follow‑ups and account queries
  • Margin management
  • File reconciliation
  • Confidential, accurate, deadline‑driven administration
  • MOD phone support when required
  • If it touches the client experience, you’re touching it with intention.

🤝 RELATIONSHIPS THAT MATTER

You’ll nurture:

  • Clients — with service that feels personal, not performative
  • Suppliers — with partnership, not pressure
  • Your team — with collaboration, not competition
  • You’ll also stay plugged into the industry: workshops, trade shows, educationals, and continuous learning. Curiosity is part of the job description.

🎓 WHAT YOU BRING

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • 5+ years in inbound tourism, specifically high-end luxury FITs
  • Proven experience crafting tailor-made itineraries
  • Strong South African & regional destination knowledge
  • Tourplan experience (advantageous)
  • Impeccable communication, planning, and problem-solving
  • Professional maturity, confidentiality, and integrity
  • A detail obsession that borders on art

💼 WHAT YOU GET

A competitive salary aligned with your experience — and the chance to build journeys that clients remember long after their luggage is unpacked.

If you’re the kind of specialist who knows that luxury is a feeling, not a price tag — we’d like to meet you.
