Technical Manager – Water, Power & Infrastructure

Botswana | Luxury Lodge Setting

We’re on the lookout for a solutions-driven Technical Manager who doesn’t just maintain systems—but elevates them. This position is about championing sustainability, powering up off-grid luxury, and stewarding resources across lodges, villages, and pristine reserve landscapes.

Your Mission: Lead all things water and power—solar arrays, electrical networks, purification systems, infrastructure upgrades—with a deep commitment to preventative care, eco-conscious operations, and empowering your team of artisans and specialists.

What You’ll Be Owning:

Maintenance & Infrastructure Ops

  • Balance breakdowns with forward-thinking fixes
  • Deploy staff and contractors across remote sites with precision
  • Audit everything from generator rooms to staff housing with a critical eye
  • Keep standards not just high—world-class

Power & Water Expertise

  • Solar systems? You’ll optimise them to reduce reliance on gensets
  • Three-phase electrical? You speak its language fluently
  • From greywater to boreholes, you’ll design, maintain, and improve every drop
  • Drive energy and water-saving projects with measurable results

Projects, People & Progress

  • Own infrastructure upgrades from planning to snag lists
  • Mentor artisans (from sparkies to plumbers) in the art of maintenance mastery
  • Liaise daily with Lodge Managers to align priorities and progress
  • Forecast, budget, procure, and manage stock with zero waste and full control

Leadership, Admin & Communication

  • Run 7:00am briefings and lead with clarity, consistency, and credibility
  • Track every work order, every cost, every milestone
  • Train, coach, and develop technical talent while nurturing a culture of pride and ownership
  • Keep the team accountable, empowered, and proactive—not reactive

What You Bring:

  • 3–5+ years in a senior technical or maintenance leadership role (lodge, resort, or off-grid setup)
  • Hands-on expertise across solar, water, electrical (single + three-phase), HVAC, plumbing, and general facilities
  • Tech savvy with plans, schematics, audits, and spreadsheets
  • Formal certifications in Electrical/Solar/Mechanical Maintenance = major plus
  • A valid driver’s license and a knack for navigating remote challenges with grit and grace

Your Mindset:

  • Meticulous, methodical, and mission-driven
  • A planner and a problem-solver in equal measure
  • Excited by complexity, but calm under pressure
  • Committed to sustainability and operational excellence
  • Lead by example, with humility and high standards

This is a rare opportunity with an amazing group. Now is the time to apply!
