We’re on the lookout for a solutions-driven Technical Manager who doesn’t just maintain systems—but elevates them. This position is about championing sustainability, powering up off-grid luxury, and stewarding resources across lodges, villages, and pristine reserve landscapes.
Your Mission: Lead all things water and power—solar arrays, electrical networks, purification systems, infrastructure upgrades—with a deep commitment to preventative care, eco-conscious operations, and empowering your team of artisans and specialists.
What You’ll Be Owning:
Maintenance & Infrastructure Ops
- Balance breakdowns with forward-thinking fixes
- Deploy staff and contractors across remote sites with precision
- Audit everything from generator rooms to staff housing with a critical eye
- Keep standards not just high—world-class
Power & Water Expertise
- Solar systems? You’ll optimise them to reduce reliance on gensets
- Three-phase electrical? You speak its language fluently
- From greywater to boreholes, you’ll design, maintain, and improve every drop
- Drive energy and water-saving projects with measurable results
Projects, People & Progress
- Own infrastructure upgrades from planning to snag lists
- Mentor artisans (from sparkies to plumbers) in the art of maintenance mastery
- Liaise daily with Lodge Managers to align priorities and progress
- Forecast, budget, procure, and manage stock with zero waste and full control
Leadership, Admin & Communication
- Run 7:00am briefings and lead with clarity, consistency, and credibility
- Track every work order, every cost, every milestone
- Train, coach, and develop technical talent while nurturing a culture of pride and ownership
- Keep the team accountable, empowered, and proactive—not reactive
What You Bring:
- 3–5+ years in a senior technical or maintenance leadership role (lodge, resort, or off-grid setup)
- Hands-on expertise across solar, water, electrical (single + three-phase), HVAC, plumbing, and general facilities
- Tech savvy with plans, schematics, audits, and spreadsheets
- Formal certifications in Electrical/Solar/Mechanical Maintenance = major plus
- A valid driver’s license and a knack for navigating remote challenges with grit and grace
