Travel Architect

Travel Architect

You already know how to design a journey. But what if your next journey is your own?

There’s a certain kind of person who thrives in luxury inbound travel. Not the loudest. Not the flashiest. The one who sees the invisible threads — the pacing, the personality cues, the unspoken expectations — and quietly weaves them into something unforgettable. If that’s you, keep reading.

Why this role might be calling you (even if you’re not “looking”)

  • Because you’ve mastered the mechanics of itinerary design, but you’re craving a place where craft still matters.
  • Because you want to work somewhere that treats travel like an art form, not a transaction.
  • Because you want ownership — real ownership — of the client relationship, the creative direction, the emotional arc of the journey.
  • Because you want to build trips that feel like stories worth retelling.

This division is built on four things you already value:

  • Authenticity —  real stories, real connection.
  • Distinctiveness — experiences that don’t feel mass‑produced.
  • Connection — with travellers, suppliers, communities, landscapes.
  • Humanity — empathy, care, and the kind of hospitality that can’t be scripted.

What your days look like.

  • You’re the architect — the one who holds the vision from the first hello to the final “tell me everything when you’re home.”
  • You’ll shape journeys for travellers from the USA, UK, Europe, and Australia who expect excellence — and appreciate the human behind it.
  • You’ll guide them, design for them, protect their experience, and sometimes rescue it when the unexpected happens.
  • You’ll collaborate with a Junior Assistant who supports the operational load, while you retain the creative and relational ownership.
  • You’ll be trusted to make decisions, solve problems, and deliver “over-the-top” moments that turn clients into lifelong advocates.
  • And you’ll do it with a team that understands the weight of this craft — and gives you the space to do your best work.

Who you are (if we’re describing you, you’ll feel it)

  • You’ve spent 5+ years crafting luxury FIT itineraries across Southern & East Africa.
  • You think in routes, rhythms, seasons, and stories.
  • You write beautifully, speak confidently, and build rapport without trying.
  • You’re commercially sharp — FOREX, margins, supplier terms don’t intimidate you.
  • You’re calm in crisis, meticulous with detail, and warm with clients.
  • You know how to own a sales cycle without feeling “salesy.”
  • You’re the person colleagues come to when they need something done properly.

If you’re nodding, you’re likely the one we’re hoping to meet.

Why this opportunity stands out

Because this is a place where:

  • Your expertise is respected.
  • Your creativity is encouraged.
  • Your standards are matched.
  • Your clients become your clients — not just names in a CRM.
  • Your work genuinely changes how travellers experience Africa.
  • And because you deserve a role that feels like a step toward something, not just another stop along the way.

The practical bits

  • Senior, client‑facing role
  • Full ownership of itinerary design, proposal creation, booking oversight, and client relationship
  • CRM: HubSpot
  • Systems: GDS & Tourplan advantageous

If this feels like it was written for you… it probably was.
