Internal Sales & Project Support – Water Treatment
Location: Benoni
About the Role
We’re looking for an organised, technically minded Internal Sales & Admin professional who enjoys problem‑solving, supporting customers, and working with water treatment components and project requirements. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, comfortable working with costings and templates, and able to guide customers on the correct parts needed for household, commercial, and industrial water treatment projects.
You’ll work closely with the sales and technical teams, prepare quotes, manage costings, support project documentation, and occasionally visit sites once a quote has been accepted. This is not a field‑based role, but you will be involved in the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate quotes and costings using Excel templates.
- Assist customers with selecting the correct components (filters, valves, elbows, pipes, fittings, etc.) for water treatment systems.
- Provide internal sales support, including responding to enquiries, preparing documentation, and following up on quotes.
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure correct specifications and project requirements.
- Maintain organised records of quotes, orders, and project documentation.
- Visit client sites when required to support project handover or gather additional information (not a primary function).
- Build strong relationships with customers through professional, knowledgeable support.
- Continuously learn and develop deeper product and system knowledge.
Requirements
- Experience in water treatment, plumbing supplies, filtration systems, or a similar technical environment.
- Strong working ability in Excel, including using templates and entering costings.
- Technical understanding of basic water treatment components and how they fit into a system.
- Valid Code 8 driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
- Comfortable dealing with projects ranging from household installations to factory and hospital systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused approach.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Eager to learn, grow, and expand technical knowledge.
Ideal Candidate
Someone who is curious, practical, and enjoys understanding how things work. You don’t need to be an engineer — but you do need to be able to identify the right parts, ask the right questions, and support customers confidently. If you enjoy structured work, technical detail, and being part of a team that delivers solutions, this role will suit you well.
